The Graduate Record Examination, or GRE, is a standardized test used for university admissions in the United States and Canada. The GRE is a computer-adaptive test, which means that the difficulty of the questions you are asked is determined by how well you performed on prior questions.
The GRE is divided into three sections
Verbal Reasoning
This portion assesses your ability to comprehend and evaluate textual material. You will be required to read passages and respond to questions regarding them.
Quantitative Reasoning
This section assesses your ability to solve mathematical problems. A range of math problems, including multiple-choice, quantitative comparisons, and data interpretation, will be assigned to you.
Analytical Writing
This section assesses your critical thinking and writing abilities. You will be required to write two essays, one on a broad topic and one on a narrow one.
