Test Overview

Test of English as a Foreign Language, or TOEFL, is a standardized exam used for evaluating the English language skills of non-native speakers. It is frequently employed as an admissions requirement by universities, colleges, and other institutions around the world for academic programmes taught in English.
The four sections of the TOEFL exam are speaking, reading, writing, and listening
Listening
Your capacity for comprehending spoken English is tested in this part. It will be necessary for you to listen to lectures, discussions, and other audio recordings in order to complete the accompanying questions. The audio recordings were made in a range of settings, including offices, classrooms, and public spaces. You will be given 41–57 minutes to complete the task.
Reading
This portion evaluates your comprehension and interpreting skills for academic materials. Reading texts and responding to questions about them will be required of you. The texts originate from a range of publications, including novels, journal articles, and news items. You will be given 54–72 minutes to complete the task.
Writing
Your English writing style will be evaluated in this section. You will be required to complete two writing assignments: an integrated activity that requires you to read and listen to information before writing, and an independent work that asks you to write an essay on a predetermined topic. You will be given 50 minutes to complete the task.
Speaking
Your proficiency in speaking English clearly and fluently is evaluated in this area. A range of tasks, including making a brief presentation, describing a graph or chart, and answering questions, will be required of you. An 17 minute conversation with the examiner will take place.
